This is also a great example of where a taser would have been more effective. The problem with a pistol is that you have to hesitate a lot more before firing. A taser you can fire without worrying. Especially when you have multiple cops on the scene. The one leading should be using a taser, with the others pistols as backup if the taser misses. There was no need to shoot this guy. It didn't even stop him effectively and could have killed the woman.

That's where a taser would have been good. A taser can be more effective at stopping a person than a pistol -- paradoxically. You won't be driving away like that if you're zapped.

Technically speaking pure formless consciousness/awareness is nothing, so you will never "find it" as a thing so to speak. Nothing is aware of everything. Even more directly: Nothing = Everything So of course you cannot seperate them out. When you are Awake and you look at a chair, you see the chair as Absolute Truth, self-illuminating. Eventually you will see that chair itself as Nothing.

Stop complicating things. There can only exist ONE thing ever. It is everything you see. Call it whatever you want. But it has to be ONE, with no other. When you say there is awareness and also consciousness, that's two things. So you know it must be wrong.

Well, if voters don't like it, they can unelect her in 2 years. In the end a Senator must work based on her values, not popular outcries. Representative democracy does not mean that Reps are slaves of the voters. This is a common misconception. This is actually wrong. Reps should exercise independent judgment because voters are shallow and have narrow interests.

Awareness is not a "thing". These nonduality teachers are teaching bullshit. You are Consciousness. Consciousness is Absolute Truth. The end. It is a mistake to try to do some reductionist deconstruction of your conscious field, trying seperate out perceptions from "awareness". That will not result in God-Realization. These people do not know what God is. They are parroting nondual dogma that they have brainwashed themselves with. Nonduality is just brainwashing at this point.

What is a chair? In fact you do not know what anything is. This problem isn't limited to life. The only way to fully answer a what-is question is via Awakening.

@OBEler I understand why police shoot in the chest. This is irrelevant to the taser issue. I have seen plenty of videos where a guy with a knife could have been easily and safely disarmed with a taser, but the cop either didn't have a taser or didn't use one. I don't think it's excusable for a cop not to have a taser.

Every social media platform combats and takes down thousands of child porn every month. If not, they would be overrun with it. Of course they don't catch all of it. These debates about moderation are so silly because people find one example out of 10 million pieces of content and then use it to argue the whole system is broken. You can cherrypick data like that all day long when your platform deals with 100s of millions of pieces of new content each month. It's the same problem as demonizing all of police for one bad arrest video out of 1000s. These kinds of critiques are not done in good faith by people who genuinely care about understanding the challenges of policing and moderation. This stuff is extremely difficult and no one is acknowledging that. If you ran these platforms I guarantee that you would not have a better solution because mankind has not invented it yet. There is not a single human alive on this planet who has a solution to the moderation problem. It's a problem as big as human cloning. So to sit there and criticize is extremely foolish and disingenuous. It's like criticizing astronauts on the moon from your couch.
