Blue Indians will still be less happy because their minds are distorted by dogma, ideology, nationalism, moralization, judgment, etc. It's not just a function of having material resources. The Blue mind is swimming in falsehood and self-deception. Then again, conformity and dogma can yield a sort of bliss of ignorance. At least for a time. There is a sort of happiness you can have by being a Nazi, a terrorist, or a religious fanatic who is fully committed to his depraved mission. Happiness is a very individualized thing. Don't generalize about it too much. There can be huge variability in happiness within any group of people regardless of their development level or even spiritual work. You can have a terrorist who is happier than a Buddhist monk. You can't just assume someone is happy because they fit into some group or category. -

Good work! -
There are elements of fascism within the MAGA movement, but that is not the same as a conservative court decision. Conservatives gonna conservative. That's not fascism.

If that's true then IQ doesn't measure intelligence at all, because consciousness is intelligence. -
Yes, except the right wing will not stop there. If they get power in 2024 they will try to pass a law banning it at the federal level.

There is an inversion in American governance where the minority is ruling the majority. This is the fundamental problem right now. Democracy is not functioning properly when a small vocal ideological minority gets to overrule majority opinion.

Of course. But honestly, the notion that the Constitution guarantees abortion rights is a pretty sketchy one to me. Realistically that needs to be a Constitutional amendment.
-
It's a constantly ongoing thing.

Calm down. This is not fascism. There is a silver lining to this. The overturning of Roe will be a wake up moment for many liberally minded people. Abortion has something like an 80% approval rating. As the American right-wing shows its true colors on actual policy, that should turn a lot of voters off from the right-wing. The problem right now is that many voters believe that the left wing and right wing are equally bad. This fallacy can only hold as long as the right wing doesn't enact any major policy. Once the policies start to change, people will realize that the left and right are not equally bad. Right-wing policies are self-correcting because they are usually awful.

Obviously IQ is an extremely narrow measure of intelligence. Actual intelligence is a much broader and deeper thing. -
How can you expect me to answer such a silly question?

What's shocking to me is that Ted Cruz doesn't have an outright ban.

Because to acquire that billion you will have to behave in toxic and dysfunctional ways which will seem repugnant to you once you're highly conscious. That billion will not be worth the debasement of consciousness which will be necessary to acquire it.

@The0Self Yes, you can make that additional distinction. -

Permanence/irreversibility is not inherent to awakening. Defining it as such leads to mistakes and problems. -
Acquiring power requires desiring power. The most conscious people have no desire for power. The same applies to the highest levels of wealth and sex.

Justice can take a while to boomerang. Be patient.

That's a legit awakening, although you could go much deeper in the future. You still haven't realized you are God. And many other facets are missing. Don't doubt yourself and keep going deeper. You are getting close to some epic awakenings. Yes, you will doubt yourself when you sober up because you lose that awakened state, and awakening is a state. You have to remind yourself that your sober state is a dream state and doubt is just part of the dream. -

Yes, Spirit = Mind = Consciousness. It is the one and only substance of anything. A toilet is made out of Spirit/Mind/Consciousness. -
Starting today I have implemented a new policy for the Politics sub-forum specifically to help clean this place up. The policy is as follows: If I see a member polluting the Politics sub-forum with consistently bad takes, gaslighting, excessive right-wing ideology, dogmatism, drama, misinformation, etc., rather than banning their entire account, I will adjust their account to disable access to the entire Politics sub-forum. This is necessary because some people are just not ready for mature, conscious discussions about politics. Obviously this is a subjective judgment call on my end, and anyone who gets their account adjusted will feel I am being biased and unfair, but that is better than letting such behavior slide. I don't claim to be completely unbiased, but someone has to moderate this place to keep it from devolving into a cesspool. Be warned that I am keeping track of usernames of people who consistently post low-consciousness, ideological takes about politics. So be mindful of what you post. This is not a matter of left vs right, this is a matter of truthfulness, consciousness, maturity, accuracy, and openmindedness. I am not happy with people using this sub-forum to spread propaganda, misinformation, and low-quality takes. It ends up flooding the zone with bullshit. I want our political discussions here held to a higher standard than the partisan culture wars found everywhere else online. Our aim here is to look at politics in a meta manner, transcending the partisan left/right divide. Obviously we will never meet this aim perfectly -- since we all have some degree of bias -- but at least let us try. If you notice certain members consistently failing to meet these standards, please report them to me (via PM) and I will review whether they deserve access to this sub-forum.
