My standards are realistic and true to consciousness itself. I don't impose any human macho litmus tests on consciousness. Just because some monk trained himself to ignore pain does mean much. It is not the evidence you think it is. Yes it's badass, but to set this standard for students is very counter-productive. The epitome of toxic spirituality. No it isn't. You have no clue yet how deeply you can suffer. When your life goes wrong enough you will understand. False In a 5-MeO peak none of this matters. It all flys out the window. You could jump out the window and not care. Conscious of Truth is independent of how you feel and how your mind/body is trained. God awakens, then God goes back to dreaming. By your logic God could never become a human because God is fully realized. But obviously God can lose consciousness, which is how you were born. Yes, they are different. This thing you call liberation would involve a lot of training of your mind and body and emotional system. I have not met any spiritual person who doesn't suffer when things get bad enough. If they exist they are one in a billion. Sorry, but I just don't buy it. Find me a real person who doesn't suffer. It is easier to find a unicorn. It is such a stupid expectation to tell people to be Ramana. I will bet all my money that if you take any modern spiritual teacher and stick an icepick in his balls you will see him suffer. - - - - - This whole discussion is deeply wrong. -

I claim Infinite Consciousness is possible. But it has nothing to do with science or anything you can think. Science is just a child's dream. -
What boggles my mind the most is that this dude was just a normal kid who was bored, went to 4chan, and developed his political worldview off of 4chan memes. That's fucking nuts. That's like earning your PhD from chimps in the forests of Africa.

If you were a goat you would find a goat's pussy appealing. Think about it. -

1) You don't know what the audience wants. Out of millions of guys a decent number would like a thick girl. A minority for sure, but still. 2) What the audience wants is highly influenced by cultural norms. 3) Even if every guy wanted a fit girl on the cover, this is a fucking magazine run by a private company. They are free to make whatever cover they want. This has nothing to do with authoritarianism. They could put a picture of a goat's butthole on the cover. 4) It's not like society is gonna stop idolizing hot fit girls any time soon. A couple of covers of fat girls is just an exception that proves the rule. It's purpose is to help fat people feel a bit better about themselves. If you can't empathize with that the you got your head up your ass. 5) Fat people have a right to influence culture just like everyone else. If fat people want to say that being fat is good and beautiful, well, that's their agenda. You can disagree with it but that doesn't mean you will always get your way. 6) Don't worry, fatness is not all-the-sudden gonna become hip. 7) If you don't like the cover, don't buy it. This will put the magazine out of business. 8) Most guys will not land a hot fit girl anyway. So many will settle for a less than ideal girl. -

You must be kidding. Science contradicts itself all the time. And yes, General Relativity contradicts and invalidates Newtonian mechanics. And quantum mechanics is inconsistent. All attempts to model or explain Infinity will always ultimately fail. They will always be incomplete or inconsistent. You haven't understood this point yet. Go watch my videos about Godel's Incompleteness Theorem and What Is Paradox. You are asking Infinity to be explicatable, which is pure delusion. -
What's funny is that according to JP, truth is super important. So if you really take JP seriously, you will sacrifice everything for Truth. Which brings you to me The irony is that JP himself doesn't understand how right he is, because he hasn't sacrificed it all for Truth. He's pointing you to it, but he hasn't done it. Because it's fucking scary.

The problem with this view is that all your so-called enlightened teachers will suffer if you hit them over the head with a hammer. So you are setting a virtually impossible standard for anyone to meet. By this standard no one knows Truth, no one knows God, no one is awake. And this is false. Awakening and Truth-realization is independent of suffering. You can realize no-self and still suffer. If you doubt this, think of Christ on the Cross. You think he didn't suffer? Don't kid yourself. So are you going to deny Christ awakening and truth because he suffered? You see how silly this gets? Of course if you suffer easily that shows that there is much more work you could do on yourself. But it doesn't invalidate any awakenings or realizations you've had. Suffering is part of Absolute Truth. And just because you're not suffering also doesn't mean you're consciousness of the highest truths. This conflation of suffering and moral purity with awakening or truth is very problematic for students in this work. It creates a lot of wrong expectations which will never get met. Stop thinking that awakening or God-realization will make you macho, stoic, infallible, and morally perfect. It won't. Consciousness of Truth is just that, nothing more. You could still be addicted to whatever. If you don't think awakened people have addictions and cravings, you're kidding yourself. What's not wise is setting up simplistic litmus tests for consciousness of Truth. Like, for example, you are not conscious of Truth unless you can sit still cross-legged for 4 hours without flinching. This is a human-made litmus test which says nothing about one's consciousness of Truth. Truth is not testable by any such litmus test. All it takes to be conscious of Truth is to be conscious of Truth. Nothing more. If you are conscious of Truth but cannot sit still for more than 1 minute, you are still conscious of Truth. You just haven't trained your mind and body to meet some spiritual ideal you have set for yourself. I suffer plenty. But it doesn't make my awakenings any less real or valid. -

The end of JP? Lol I mean, I don't find that girl beautiful. She's been eating way too many Cheetos. She would be more beautiful if she ate healthy. But that's just like my opinion man. Beauty is subjective. Ironically it would be authoritarian if only fit girls were allowed on SI covers. -

You should be aware that my teachings are always evolving. This is the nature of empirical investigation. How come you don't get depressed and cry contradiction when a new scientific discovery is made? Think about it. Understanding reality is a lot more difficult than anyone imagines. If you think you can do it flawlessly, you're in for a rude awakening. I have also warned you guys that I am not immune from self-deception and that I am always having higher awakenings. My videos document my process of figuring out the ultimate nature of reality. This is what the process looks like. -

Look, dude, you need to take responsibility for how stuff makes you feel. There was nothing depressing about my video. If you don't like the teachings or they make you feel bad, then don't listen to them. It boils down to that. Notice that plenty of people enjoyed the video and didn't feel it contradicted Oneness. I am describing states of consciousness beyond anything a normal human can access or even imagine. I'm sorry if it doesn't make logical sense to you. -
Yes, it's present with 5-MeO. 5-MeO-MALT and 5-MeO-MIPT are the most "sexy" for me. 5-MeO-MIPT makes you hyper conscious of tactile sensations and your whole body in an ecstatic way. 5-MeO-MALT is more heady than MIPT. But it's my fave.

@machiavelli Well, you are very attached to getting answers from me. Which is a mistake that I have been warning you against for a while now on this forum. But you are rentless with your conceptual questions. So this is the consequence. Spirituality cannot work that way. -

My ultimate goal is to see how far I can go. I don't know where the line is until I cross it. This line is crossed carefully and for brief periods of time in a healthy way. Obviously I am not trying to damage my body. You can take some ketamine and be totally dysfunctional for 60 mins. Then you come back and resume survival. But now you understand what extremes of consciousness are possible and how radical they are, and why humans do not possess such consciousness by default: becuase you'd be dead long ago. The highest extremes of consciousness will be so out of alignment with basic survival that you will not be able to walk. -

@machiavelli Why don't you awaken and see what's up? -
Leo Gura replied to SQAAD's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You guys wouldn't be so confused if you were focused on doing practices. If you are just building conceptual models of spirituality then, yeah, you will get very confused. But also, confusion is a huge part of this work. You are in for years of confusion as you struggle to make sense of all the different stuff that spiritual teachers tell you. Some confusion is good for ya. And it's good that you don't just take everything I said blindly. I've actually thought about deliberately incorporating falsehoods in my teaching as poison pills, so you are forced to validate everything I say for yourselves. Maybe this latest video was just a poison pill? How would you know? It would be really good if in the front of the Bible it said, "Note: 10% of the stuff written here is deliberately false so that you think for yourself. Enjoy figuring out which 10% ;)" -
Leo Gura replied to Gesundheit2's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Careful, that wasn't my claim. I was talking about the highest extremes of consciousness. The more conscious you get the more functional you get, but after a certain point you can get so conscious that you will not even be able to walk. It's like water. If you drink enough water it will kill you. That doesn't mean that every glass of water is slowly killing you. Also, functionality is a relative matter that involves an alignment between you and your environment. In certain environments being low conscious is actually more functional. -
More feminine guys will be attracted to spiritual teachings, especially the lovey-dovey New Agey stuff. The most masculine guys are out there conquering the world and slaying pussy.
-
Psychedelics make me more in touch with my feminine side, but never affect my straightness, not even a little. They also put me in touch with my authentic masculinity.
-
Hard to say because I haven't done any statistical analysis on the matter. But I suspect that plenty of guys got more than 1% gay in them. This % will increase in guys who are attracted to spirituality.

For you specifically, I wouldn't worry about loving your abuser. That was advice intended for the highest levels of consciousness and development. You are dealing with a much lesser issue. You need to learn to enforce boundaries, to say No, and to be independent of others. -
Leo Gura replied to Preety_India's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You don't need an infinity of Gods for that. You can access love for your abuser at a much lower level of consciousness. Obviously you understand that your abuser was acting out of ignorance and selfishness, the same dynamic that runs all finite beings, including yourself. -
Leo Gura replied to machiavelli's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
To be clear, all my solipsistic awakenings were always permeated by profound Platonic Love. The difficulty of integration usually comes the next day or next week once you're dealing with everyday life. Not in the moment of awakening itself.
