There is an asymmetry in these cases you bring up. It's a difference of tolerance vs intolerance. Refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple is fundamentally intolerance. Refusing to bake a cake for Hitler is appropriate because Hitler is intolerant of others. So the solution to all these cases is more tolerance and openmindedness and less intolerance and closedmindedness. The reason white Christians keep having these kind of "gay wedding cake" issues is simply because they are intolerant and closedminded. That all.
