  1. Yes, of course. That's the whole rub. You don't know what you are. That requires serious awakening. That's what ego is, a black hole of self-reference. Yes It answers it perfectly, it's just that you don't have a reference experience for what God means. It's like I'm telling you that reality is orange but you don't know what orange means cause you've never seen it. Think of it like this: There exists a universal Mind. This Mind is currently imagining your human life, thus materializing it. This Mind could imagine and materialize whatever it wants, but it just so happens to want what you are currently experiencing. This Mind is what is "holding" reality in place. Outside this Mind there is no reality because this Mind has no outside, because "outside" is imagined by this Mind. You are this Mind. However since this Mind is imagining a human life, you have mistaken yourself for the human it imagines. You forgot that you are pure Mind itself.
  2. It takes way more than that to create a cult.
  3. @KoryKat Since you're an extrovert you probably won't be satisfied being alone. Being alone comes naturally to introverts. But of course there is an existential issue here with facing boredom and aloneness. At the deepest level they are not easy to face, even for introverts. I easily get bored. That's something spiritual work helps address. Basically an introvert keeps himself entertained by creating a rich inner world that is way more interesting than the outer world. As an extrovert you probably haven't built such an inner world. Your inner world is lame so you turn to the outer world to titillate you.
  4. Great share! That's an awesome plugin. Cold Turkey Blocker is another good one: https://getcoldturkey.com
  5. If I vape DMT with e-liquid in a vape cart, I can feel it harm my lungs. If I vape DMT in a dab rig with no e-liquid, just pure DMT, I don't feel any damage to my lungs. That's my personal experience. Use introspection and feel into the harm which your vaping is causing.
  6. Other countries have democracy where the majority gets its way, and have no such problem. The opposite is actually the case. Under minority rule democracy is corrupted and people grow more resentful to the point of destabilizing the country. It is not just or proper that the minor should elect a leader and the majority has to just put up with it.
  7. Depends on how you define "I".
  8. So your solution is minority rule?? This logic is not only silly but disasterous. It's not merely that Blue states get a raw deal currently, even Red states with Blue city centers. Every major city in most Red states votes Blue. Their votes are not properly weighed.
  9. There should be apps you can install that will limit how much time you can watch per day/week. Or only allow accessing YT during limited hours of the day, like 9pm-12am.
  10. Young people have died from vaping e-liquid. I don't know of anyone who dies of smoking within 10 years. The wrong e-liquid is therefore worse than smoking. Remember, vaping has only existed for less than 10 years. Who knows what affect the vapor has on the lungs. It can't be good. When you vape certain e-liquids you can feel it hurting the lungs.
  11. But you should be working on your epistemics while doing self-help work. You don't need to consume a bunch of political news to get your epistemics in place. Basically just vote for the most Spirally developed guy who has a chance of winning. That's the simple recipe for how to vote. You don't need to watch a bunch of political punditry. And in today's environment the recipe is even simpler: never vote Republican because they are totally morally bankrupt. So the only decision you should struggle with is moderate Dems vs progressives. And the only reason not to vote for progressives is if they seem unelectable in a general election.
  12. It's not so odd. They endorse who they think has the best chance of winning. Bernie badly lost the south eastern states and so he became unelectable. Bernie only destroyed Biden in the Nevada primary. But that's not enough. I think you put too much blame on endorsements. Endorsements play some part but in the grand scheme of things they aren't so important. Yes, that happened in 2016. Well, yeah. Politics is the name of the game. You gotta win at politics here. It's not so clear Bernie would have beat Trump. You can't just take that for granted. And Hillary did beat Trump in popular vote. A big part of the problem is the electoral college system. It means Dems have to out-perform.
  13. Musk has become a jackass lately. He's out of his element and his political intelligence is badly compromised by his business agenda. Don't expect a rich man to have good politics.
  14. @Edvardas 1st is closer. Consciousness does not work like a movie with frames. This is a popular way to think of it but that's not what is actually happening in your direct experience. There are no frames. Although the Godhead does contain every possible thing that could be imagined, but it's like a pure potential and it is formless.
  15. Healthy suffering grows you, you learn the lesson from it and move on. Unhealthy suffering you bask in and keep repeating without ever growing out of it.
  16. There is use to policy polls, but they are more long-term. You can't use them to predict elections. Look, I voted for Bernie. But I am also a realist. And even if Bernie won, he would not be able to do what you want him to do. Politics is a game for realists not utopians. Always was.
  17. Bernie is not capable of winning with Southern voters and Purple voters. A lot of the Dem base is relatively moderate, centrist, and even conservative. Most Dem voters are not progressives. This is a classic mistake progressives make: using policy polls to judge the electablity of their candidates. Most voters are idiots and do not vote on policy. So your policy polling is pointless. Winning elections is not about policy because voters are too uneducated and indifferent to care about policy.
  18. Listening to mainstream news is good because you can use it just to get raw new facts. You don't have to listen to the pundit opinions. Distinguish between factual reporting vs partisan political opinions. I listen to mainstream news mostly just to get factual reporting on what's new. I don't use them to form my political opinions. It's easy to filter out bad opinions.
  19. Biden beat Bernie easily. Maybe Bernie is not as popular as you want him to be.
  20. It's not fascist, it's just conservative. This is boilerplate conservative policy. And they weren't exactly keeping it secret.
  21. Find people in your city to go out with. But also go out solo and just socialize with strangers. It's good for ya.
  22. Dems haven't given me the cookies I wanted therefore I would rather bend over and let Repubs rape me in the ass. Logic.
  23. I suspect that many people use poor plugging technique, in which case yeah, things could flip.
