Weed and alcohol do not compare to jerking off. You can easily go your whole life without the first, but your sexual cravings cannot be ignored. Jerking off is not an addiction. It is a resolution of sexual cravings which are healthy and normal.

My point was that just because a teaching gives you benefit does not mean it's not a cult. People often incorrectly come to the conclusion of: "I got a benefit from X therefore X cannot be a cult".
