@Water by the River If you had Alien Consciousness you would forget all about Buddhism. The only problem is locking it in. It will kill you that you can't. If I had permanent Alien Consciousness I would literally never talk to any human ever again. I would quit humanity forever and bask in my own Mind, and every human spiritual idea, practice, teaching, and attainment would mean nothing. -
The more guys you meet the better your chances of finding the right one. Real Love is God. Fill yourself with God's Love and then you won't need it so badly from men and you can enjoy men with less attachment. You're placing a lot of attachment and expectation on relationships, which isn't ideal. Try doing relationship without so much expectation and demands. Relationships will come and go. Occasionally you might find a really deep one. - - - - - Plenty of people on this planet are happily married. So it is possible. Don't just chalk it up to blind luck. If you want a great marriage you can create one. Go date 50 guys and find yourself the best one. This isn't rocket science. All you need to do is find one guy who's suitable for you. 1 out of 1000s.

Those are correct but comprehension of God goes so much deeper. It's a matter of depth. Buddhists are not wrong. There's just more that's missing. There exists a whole dimension of transhuman consciousness. Buddhism is all still within the domain of the human. -
@TryHard Maybe I'll just upgrade your account within the next few days.

@Water by the River You may know that you're God but that does not means you know what God is. God is such a profound thing that no Buddhist comprehends it. With that said, I like the techniques you shared. I can see their power and I will try them out to shore up my baseline state. -

All stages are actually just states. There exists nothing but states of consciousness. Consciousness is an infinite state machine. -

@Water by the River Your True Nature is God. Which is not the same thing as Emptiness, nor nonduality, nor Buddhism, nor egolessness. The real question you should be asking is, What is God? -

@Water by the River Sounds super-technical. But it's interesting. Thanks for explaining. I will play around with it. -
@Karmadhi That means your game is pretty weak and could use a lot more work. I suggest you drop the expectation of pickup transforming other areas of your life. Just enjoy doing it for what it is and you will have fun and learn new things. Pickup is best when you turn it into an adventure and make it as fun as possible for yourself. My best memories of pickup is all the crazy adventures I went on and all the fun I had. Not the sex.

@KatiesKarma Have you tried Kriya yoga? It might have a good chance of helping you if you do it for at least a year. -

@KatiesKarma Your situation is so unique that it's hard to say. You just gotta keep trying stuff with the hope that you will stumble upon something some day. Maybe emotions are not gonna be your way. Maybe you can find happiness just in being conscious and at peace, like one of those Buddhists. Maybe what you're looking for is just classic enlightenment. -
Thanks

Have you tried literally just sitting down and doing that? -
Leo Gura replied to Anon212's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Because my highest goal in life is to understand reality. Nothing else is worth doing in the end. God's only purpose is to understand itself. It tames the monkey mind and builds focus. It can produce some powerful shifts in consciousness but it has to be done for many hours on end, for days. And it's tedious as hell. -

I understand. Then I suggest just doing some deep research into all the various techniques for healing and trauma that exist out there. You're bound to find some good stuff. I don't have much experience helping people heal from mental disorders. One thing you can do is to research other people who had your condition and healed it, and investigate what methods they used. This requires doing DEEP research. Gather up all the info that's available on the subject until you become an expert on it. -
@Karmadhi Let's not turn this thread into a gender debate.

@Karmadhi It just sounds like you are already satisfied with that part of your life, so move on other things. Pickup in mostly for guys who really struggle with girls or socializing, or guys who want to sleep with tons of girls, or guys who want exceptionally hot girls. If none of that suits you, then you probably won't be in pickup for long.

@KatiesKarma I can suggest working with a psychic/mystic therapist rather than a traditional one. You can find local ones on Yelp. They will probably help you a lot more than traditional materialist therapists. That's hard to say since I don't have that kind of mind. Maybe buried hurt or anger. Something like that. Trauma. Have you actually tried programming your mind with positive imagery on a daily basis for months? That might be a great practice for you. Learn to control your mind with positivity and love. If you have multiple personality disorder then you should research specific therapy and techniques for that. You require an expert on that condition. You need to do more research on exactly what condition you have and find specialists with extensive experience healing that. Generic spiritual advice is not going to help you much. -

@Water by the River In your long post you explained some very elaborate techniques for taming thought. That's sorta your whole method. My question to you is: Why make it so complicated? Why not just use something like the noting/labeling method for monitoring your thoughts? Seems to me like this would achieve the same thing with one simple method. I'm talking about something like Shinzen Young's method. How is your method superior to the Shinzen Young method? -

@KatiesKarma Therapy for sure would help. And then you could combine that with psychedelics, journaling, holotropic breathing, etc. Yes, you got a classic background for personality disorder and trauma. That requires some deep digging into. Be cautious with psychedelics because they could send you over the edge if you take too much. Check out Teal Swan's work on trauma. She wrote a whole book about healing trauma. That's her cup of tea. -
There's A LOT of different kind of men, at various levels of maturity. So mistake #1 is over-generalizing men. Obviously some men can, many men can't. What you're looking for is a more mature, more developed, more conscious sort of man. Also a man for whom looks are less of a priority. Some men are REALLY hung up on looks and youth while others much less so. If you just look around, there are many men who are married, loyal, and happy. So obviously that's possible. But remember, if you are looking for unconditional love, that's not really what relationships are. Most relationships are not unconditional. Both parties are trading stuff and looking for value. So you have to be somewhat realistic about how relationships work and don't treat them too idealistically. The reality is that most relationships don't work out. A few do.

@Karmadhi I'm not sure why you say there is no carry-over. Being more social carries over into all social interactions. Humor carries over, vibing carries over, leading carries over, conversation skill carry over, your inner game and confidence carries over. But even if it didn't, so what? You get girls and that's a great skill to have. If you want other skills develop them. No one said that flirting with girls is supposed to improve your public speaking skills. The benefits of pickup outside of getting laid is the inner game you build, the confidence, the initiative, the work ethic, the passion for self-development, the sense of humor, etc.

That would explain a lot. People with such disorders who then also have awakenings or mystical experiences tend to have some hairy, messy kinds of awakenings which turn into "spiritual emergencies". Stan Grof talks about this a lot in his work. Such people require a lot of healing work. Your awakenings are not gonna be the normal kind. -

He already described it above. Read his long-ass post. -

I am not going to talk about it now.
