Obviously he over-reacted and is now trying to correct that. This will happen a lot going forward. He will make many moderation mistakes, being both too lax and too strict, and then he will be forced to reverse course. This will probably happen a lot over the next year. Stop wasting your time fixating on it. This whole thing is just a distraction. All the leftists whining and trolling Musk are as childish and stupid as Musk is in this shitshow. This whole news thread is just a waste of human consciousness.

Musk is correct though that sharing people's coordinates should not be allowed, even if it is public data. This is dangerous and has no legit speech function. People will abuse this to harass, intimidate, and harm.

Hehe, just focus on your own work. Reddit debate bros are trash. -
Moderation is hell. There is no such thing as absolute free speech, only degrees of moderation.

Oh, you mean the thing that right-wingers have done for the last 2000 years? It's still happening?

It seems like Trump may finally be in this last death-throes and the Republican party will soon turn on him completely. This stunt did not go over well even with this base. I feel Trump's demise is near. He will die a sad, pathetic, miserable, humiliated man.

@John Paul Good work. Keep at it.

I can't really give an example because it would be outside of what the human mind can imagine. Your imagination is bound to space-time. -
@Socrates No one is disputing that police make mistakes and act badly sometimes.

I doubt that level of development would be enough for communism. It's hard to say, it would need to be empirically tested.

The mistake is raging and demonizing this machine as though it wasn't your creation. This thing you call "machine" is just your community. What are you conserving if not your community?

When a conservative cries about fairness, they only mean, "Fairness for me". To care about fairness for everyone require a deep grasp of relativity, which conservatives are not capable of. If they were, they would be liberals. Show me one conservative who grasps relativity.

@A_v_E The difference is I am not preventing AI from chatting or making content. I just don't have to host that content here. Mostly I don't want to have to deal with the possible crap it might generate, or just generic cookie-cutter responses. If an AI was proven to generate good responses, I wouldn't have a problem with giving it an account to post here. But I'm not going to invest a bunch of my time to make that happen and to babysit that whole process and chase down all the bugs.

Well, spacetime is a construct of consciousness. Yeah, you can be conscious without that construct. -
Coriander seed as a daily supplement may cure thyroid disorders. Worth trying. It works for some people and it is a traditional remedy in India.

I reduced them somewhat but not entirely. It affects me with chronic fatigue, serious gut problems, extreme sensitivity to cold, worse cognitive function, sleepiness, lowered immune system, and worse overall mood.

At one point there were so many PUAs camping the entrance of the Vegas Wholefoods that they had to hire a security guard to chase them off. The good ol' days of RSD. Lol
