  1. Why would anything be guaranteed in this work?
  2. You being God is not a belief. Thinking you know how the pyramids were built is belief.
  3. Of course. It's an eacape, like drugs. Playing games all day is much more fun than building a life.
  4. Demonizing aspects of Orange.
  5. What is your LP? They should really be combined. Your LP should not stop you from self-actualizing, that would be screwed up.
  6. If that actually worked, sure would be great. But it is unwise to count your chickens before they hatch. It's a gamble relative to just doing a month-long retreat and breaking through the wall with intense momentum. There is no gaurantee that bits of daily practice will be enough to reach the necessary critical mass. I would bet that it won't be enough for most people. Which is why retreats were invented. Why wait 10 years if you can just crank it out in a month? 10 years is quite inefficient by comparison.
  7. Could there be some special techniques which are extra potent? Sure. But I would be skeptical about how well that would scale up. I have not read those texts you mention. You gotta ask yourself, is it worth a 10 year gamble? Obviously that's a personal question.
  8. Of course that's important. But furthermore, you may want to awaken but still be too immature and not ready to accept it when the moment comes. You have to be willing to really surrender your human self and life. That can take years just to reconcile yourself to. You may just not want to go through with it even though you want it theoretically.
  9. @Water by the River If your situation was generally true then millions more mediators would be awake and they obviously aren't, so what you say cannot be generally true. The average meditator will not get your results. The #1 reason people do not get awakenings is because no one is willing to invest 100hrs straight into meditation. There is good reason why Buddha sat for 3 weeks under a tree. He couldn't do it otherwise.
  10. Motion and time are different things. Time is a figment of consciousness.
  11. I don't need any Arabic to understand Allah. You can keep all the human shit. It only dirties Allah.
  12. @stephenkettley It's impossibile to say. Could be tomorrow or you could spend 20 years doing it and never reach enlightenment. And enlightenment would just be the tip of understanding Consciousness. But if you're doing psychedelics you should have already had some mystical, nondual experiences. What are you experiencing there? If you wish to reach enlightenment through manual practice you really need to do week-long hardcore mode retreats. Breakthroughs in consciousness require insane levels of focus. Every time you break focus you lose all your momentum and must start from scratch. Realistically to generate a manual mystical experience requires 100 hours of intense consistent focus. That's one week-long retreat's worth of meditation. To do it faster would require spiritual talents, which most people do not have.
  13. @Yimpa I know this shit too well. It starts being too predictable at some point.
  14. He already has intro books to Integral theory. Why make more? This isn't Chinese calculus.
  15. I don't know. In practice not. People need to already care enough to listen. If you tell them and they dismiss it, then they don't care.
  16. Well, at least let a crocodile bite your hand or something, if you claim to have transcended suffering. That might open my mind. Alien Consciousness is a lot harder to demonstrate than immunity to suffering. They just aren't alike. I wish I could demonstrate it, but then again I don't claim to be in that consciousness permanently.
  17. @nuwu Research Gotlieb Frege, the downfall of logicisim and logical positivism, Russell's Paradox, the work of Douglas Hofstadter, Tarski's incompleteness theorems, paradoxes within set theory, paradoxes of infinity, and the necessity for meta-logics and meta-mathematics. Basically, logic and mathematics is trying to grasp itself but it cannot ever do so because it is infinite, so it has to invent meta logics and meta mathematics to try to do so, and this goes upward ad infinitum. And all of that is still just one drop in the ocean of Infinity.
  18. @_Archangel_ Achieve it and then let's talk. I'm sick of spiritual talk. Show me results.
  19. It is, but that's the least of your problems. Language is an enabling platform, like an operating system. It lets you do a lot of advanced stuff but at the cost of some limits and biases.
  20. Is he pissing in his Bulletproof Coffee (TM) yet?
  21. @zurew My claims use higher consciousness, not deductive chimp logic. If you insist on deductive chimp logic then you will not understand many things I say. Things I say go beyond explication. Logic operates within the box of explication. Godel's theorems are not proofs of what I say, what I say would be true regardless of his theorems. His theorems are merely a pointer to certain higher apsects of mind which you could come to recognize. My claim was not that every self-referential set of statements is inconsistent but that if self-referential statements are allowed they can be used to create inconsistencies. Just because you don't use them to create an inconsistency demonstrates nothing. You can use English to say consistent things or inconsistent things. Just because you only say consistent things so far doesn't mean a damn thing. Arithmetic cannot be formally grounded in any logical system or set theory. Such attempts are delusional. The nuances of this are too complex to explain here. You'd need to take a college level class to start to understand it. And frankly I don't have all the nuances memorized in my mind because they are irrelevant to my work and I am not a logician. Godel did not understand that Mind is infinite. You should know better. You could just read Hofstadter's books and understand what I am pointing to. Hofstadter does a brilliant job explaining the deeper intuitions at the heart of Godel's theorems.
  22. Sounds like you could use a God-slappin'.
