Well then, why are you so bothered when I say there's something beyond it? -

You also don't know that your enlightenment is the end of consciousness. You have to assume there's nothing beyond or above it. -

I'm saying something more radical: that you do picture it, and that's part of the deception. You represent your own enlightenment to yourself in your mind. How do you know that one person's enlightenment is identical to that of another? You don't know that. And in fact they are not identical. Even your own enlightenments are not identical to themselves. Of course no picture can do it justice. But that's not the point being made here. Because everything in your experience is imagined by God. That's how reality is created. For you to be "enlightened" God has to imagine that you one day you "became enlightened". You have a whole story that you tell yourself of how it happened, when it happened, where it happened, and what it means. -

And I would say you're imagining that. -
Leo Gura replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Well, you're imagining it right now. See? In order to speak at all about a thing called enlightenment, you gotta have a picture in your mind of what it is, and then you also gotta tell yourself that your picture is valid. Otherwise you could not speak about it or even know that you're enlightened. So enlightenment comes with many assumptions and ideas. For example, you tell yourself that you had an enlightened and you tell yourself that your enlightenment is complete and all there is to the matter. Or you tell yourself that your enlightenment is incomplete. Or you tell yourself that your enlightenment is the same as the Buddha's or Rupert Spira's, or whatever. -

This reads like a parody Twitter account.

The creating of gender confusion with custom pronouns and the like IS a legitimate issue to be concerned about. But this has nothing to do with grooming kids into being gay. What I would like to see is some broad research into how many kids these days are confused about their gender. We need to track this metric every year.
-
The issue of young kids going trans needs to be clearly distinguished from being gay. These are not similar things. Part of the nonsense of that video is how badly they conflate gays with trans. These are very different things.

Everything I say and do is pretty much that. But very practically I am working on a course that explains all this is serious detail. It is too much material to explain it on a forum. I'm just throwing out breadcrumbs for people here, trying to make you seriously question all teachers and teachings. If you want some practical advice here it's simply this: question all these pious enlightened so-called gurus. Do not assume they know what's up. Stop assuming that there is some one achievement called "enlightenment" which every master has attained and it now guiding you towards. That's not what is going on. -

@Jowblob The point of life is for me to tell you aren't not AWAKE. And for you to get it. -
Leo Gura replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No. Not only from my perspective. Actually. I'm serious. Nobody on this planet understands what I am talking about. I don't care how implausible that sounds, it is the case. There is nothing personal or egoic about this. People simply do not understand CONSCIOUSNESS. Enlightenment will not give you an understanding of CONSCIOUSNESS. That's what I realized. In hindsight, of course it won't. Why would it? God is far too tricky for that to work. Nobody understands how tricky God is. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody. I don't know any better way to communicate this to you. It sounds crazy, but it is what is. I am just reporting what I discovered. Whether you take it seriously or not is up to you. I'm certainly not going to prove it to you. -

It's not just the 5-MeO. Just doing psychedelics is not enough. You need an insane degree of understanding of epistemology and the deceptions of the mind. I'm sure there are people who have done more 5-MeO by weight than me. Like Martin Ball. However, these people do not have a serious understanding of epistemology and metaphysics. Martin Ball doesn't even bother to contemplate when he trips, he dances around like a monkey. These people are playing games. They don't understand how serious this is. It's not just that I take psychedelics, it's that psychedelics affect me in a very different way than most humans, like at the genetic level. My trips are not like normal trips. They go way deeper than that. And what I can tell you is that all these spiritual teachers are fooling themselves. They do not comprehend what CONSCIOUSNESS is. Even someone like Ralston simply isn't conscious enough to get it. I look at him and it is clear to me he doesn't get it. He has fooled himself with "enlightenment". Enlightenment is bullshit. There exist much deeper consciousness. Orders of magnitude deeper. That is what I am interested in teaching. I do not care about enlightenment at all. I do not teach enlightenment any more. Suit yourself. -

Of course it's possible. That's the point of all this work. I am not saying anything that limits you. It's got nothing to do with narcissim. Just reporting to you the traps of this work. I want you to appreciate how tricky this work is. That's all. I get no joy out of saying these things to you. I wish I didn't have to say them. I have spent months not saying it, hoping I don't have to say it. I spent a lot of time hesitating before saying it because I know how it sounds. But in the end I gotta focus on what is true vs how things sound. If I don't say these things people will get decieved by nonduality, Buddhism, enlightenment, self-inquiry, meditation, etc. The stuff that someone like Rupert Spira teaches is simply not God-Realization. These people have no clue what God is. And you guys are falling into those traps. I am one of the only people on this planet who can point out these advanced traps to you. So if have that ability I must use it. I can't just sit quietly while newbies follow Rupert Spira and his ilk to some weak-sauce version of God. Well, you will not know until you reach the levels of consciousness I am pointing to. It's good you guys are skeptical. That will keep you from just turning this work into dogma. Yup, well, this cannot be resolved through human validation. Again, that's what makes this work so tricky. You see how problematic all this is. And that's my point. There are very big epistemic problems here which nondualists do not take seriously. They just trust that their teachers are AWAKE. You cannot assume that. You cannot assume the Buddha was AWAKE. That is not a given. That is just a story. You've identified the problem exactly. You will never know just by trusting one guru or another. You will only know by unraveling the mystery of Consciousness and God. And of course you cannot trust me either. There is no one on this planet you can trust to tell you the truth. Of course. But what I am supposed to do? I can only go with what I think is most true. From your POV I could be deluded. But I cannot let that stop my work. At some point any teacher you interact with has to draw a line and tell you: "X is true, and I know so absolutely, regardless of whether you think I am deluded." Look at it this way, if I am wrong, at least I made you question every guru and teaching. Which is a good thing. You guys clearly don't do that enough. Hence I wrote: Important! -

I'm always having deeper awakenings. They don't invalidate each other. I don't need to look into your brain. Just at the crap you type. -

Leo Gura replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's an issue of a lack of understanding. You can't do it without profound understanding. It's not merely a state. It's a function of understanding what reality is. You guys are not taking understanding seriously enough. I can't explain it. It's just something I know from my own Awakenings. I am not talking about enlightenment. Enlightenment is imaginary. I am talking about something far deeper than enlightenment. I am talking about accessing Alien Consciousness. No one here understands what that is. -
Leo Gura replied to Leo Gura's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's difficult to answer. But that awakening will be not validated by me, it will be validated by the person him/her self. Yes. I wouldn't teach otherwise. I will never know. They will know. -
