Sure, it's good to have a broad familairity with all kinds of philosophies. But after a certain basic education you gotta move on to the serious work of unraveling reality.

In the end none of that shit matters. He is stuck chasing status. But underneath Owen's material immaturity is a deeper spiritial set of values such as passion for life, the quest for truth, God, and Consciousness, and personal growth which are the real measures of success. You must learn to see through the immature material parts of Owen's work to get the gold. What you're missing out on is not million dollar mansions and hot chicks. What you're missing out on is passion for life and making the most of your life. You're missing your full potential for being fully yourself -- whatever that means for you. This is Owen's highest teaching. You becoming fully yourself does not mean you will chase what Owen chases. You will chase totally different things. You are confusing the content for the structure. Take Owen's structure and replace money, sex, status with God, Truth, art, family, or whatever you want.

He does provide enormous protection for the North Korean elite families. But North Korea is a rather exceptional case where abusive power is maintained long-term through insane totalitarian control. There is an asymmetry in these cases you bring up. It's a difference of tolerance vs intolerance. Refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple is fundamentally intolerance. Refusing to bake a cake for Hitler is appropriate because Hitler is intolerant of others. So the solution to all these cases is more tolerance and openmindedness and less intolerance and closedmindedness. The reason white Christians keep having these kind of "gay wedding cake" issues is simply because they are intolerant and closedminded. That all. And then they want their closedmindedness codified into law. The only problem here is that Christians are stupidly closedminded and proud of it.

It obviously looks bad for the right wing. Biden is lookin good. He is fighting for the people but the right wing knee-capped him. This is silly. You are not allowed to refuse to rent to black people or Jews. Nor are you allowed to refuse serving meals to Asians or Muslims. Nor are you allowed to refuse employment to gays or Hispanics. We have strict laws on the books for all these cases because without laws it becomes a big problem.
