I'm learning quite well from my blunders against bots.

Oh God, please don't spread her content. She is an epistemic pervert.

How well does your ELO carry over into Fischer Random?

The hardware is very impressive. But the software to actually make is useful and autonomous is probably 10+ years away. I am very skeptical they will be able to program it easily. It's gonna be as hard as FSD. My guess is it will be able to do cool demos in artificial environments but it won't be useful in real-world applications because there are too many edge-cases. It will not able to do even basic tasks like taking out the trash or washing dishes. A home-bot is very far away. Maybe they can make them useful for repetitive factory work.

Fair point. I should play real people more. I am training up on bots first so that I don't make embarassing blunders.

I'm not sure. Haven't played it much. I dislike memorizing opening theory. To me that's not real chess.

More Incel rage-bait?

At least AI doesn't drink and doesn't text.

I anticipated this possibility, which is why I qualified my blog post about Anna going Yellow with a remark about horseshoe theory. I was concerned that it might turn into some horseshoe nonsense. I was being charitable to her. I try to be nice to these people but they disappointment all the time. This anti-establishment stuff is getting really stupid. TYT has rotted her mind.

Obviously most people will not move beyond Green for all sorts of pragmatic reasons. But everything I speak about assumes you are aiming beyond Green. So my speech is biased in that regard. I am not speaking to the average Joe. If you wanna talk about the best political strategy for the average Joe, that's a very different thing from the stuff I talk about or even care about. But obviously that strategy talk is needed too. It's just not my area of interest.

He never followed up to set it up. I'll keep trying. Maybe he will.

You've borne the risk of people driving since day one.

The New Left is not in charge of the Defense Department, military planning, or the intelligence agencies. That's all run by many conservatives and centrists. No one is going to let left-wing protestors run military policy. This is like giving a credit card to a heroin addict.

That's cause he chooses to conduct his business with media attention-whores and perverts. Destiny could engage with more thoughtful people. There are many intelligent and mature people on YT. Like Vlad Vexler or Daniel Schmachtenberger or me. But the lack of drama wouldn't get the views and clicks that Destiny wants. Destiny's own development is hampered by him fishing for drama and views. Higher consciousness discussions just can't get the same view counts as the clickbait drama that Destiny likes to get himself into. To go higher he'd have to outgrow that style of content and settle for less views and less fame. That's gonna be tough for him to stomach. Destiny is stuck in a cycle of wrestling with pigs for clicks. It gets him lots of material success but his soul suffers for it. He is addicted to the YouTube game, like a fish in water. If you want to seriously develop eventually you must surrender the temptation to wrestle with pigs. Why do you think I don't do that kind of content?

Notice what Sam Harris and Destiny have in common: intellectual integrity. They really care about the facts. They are not operating on vibes, dogma, or ideology. They are also not reactionaries or utopians. That's the key to higher stages of understanding.

Destiny strikes that balance correctly. He pushes back against far left fantasies but is also super strict on MAGA pervertry. Which is the correct "middle way". That's my approach as well. You must call out MAGA as the perverts they are without giving them one inch, but you must also recognize the problems with the far left, and with the neoliberal corporate mainstream too. But you must not allow any false equivalency between far left and MAGA. And you must not demonize the "mainstream", avoiding the trap of falling for bad ideas just because they are anti-mainstream.

Cenk has some good ideas and qualities but he's also delusional, as most clearly seen in his own political campaigns. It is a problem if you want a deep and accurate understanding of reality and society. I don't like this simple narrative. That's the nature of demagogery. Yeah, but people don't know or care about numbers. They want the vibes and their biases pandered to.

It's not grift, it's just a lack of deeper sensemaking. Eventually the lack of epistemic seriousness catches up with you in the domain of politics. If you don't get the epistemology right then you will get stuck somewhere in Tier 1, lost in the human media noise. Eventually the quality of your sensemaking will be the glass ceiling of your political view. The best example of how to do centrism correctly is Destiny. He has the best political analysis of anyone on the left.
-
Because my concern is to help you avoid getting your mind stuck at Green. I don't want you to become the next Cenk/Ana/Hasan. I'm not really interested in politics. I'm interested in taking your mind to higher levels of understanding. So I have a very different agenda than anyone in the political domain. As much as I comment on politics my work is not political. That's why it's powerful.

I don't see that happening unless maybe a nuclear war. -

@Daniel Balan Nationalism is a Blue phenomena, not a Purple one. Purple is tribal and clanish. Purple does not have a concept of "nation" or even "race" because it is too tribal. -
Cars crash. That's just baked in the cake of what cars are. Car AI will eventually save more lives than it kills so this is not a serious issue. If you don't want to take the risk then don't drive using AI. If you use auto-pilot you know the risks.

I explain this difference as the difference between Blue and Orange. Nazi Germany was Blue-Red and current America is Orange-Blue. Blue is a collectivist stage and Orange is an individualist/libertarian stage. This is why capitalism will manifest differently at these stages. I see no risk of America actually becoming a Christian nationalist state. That would be too unpopular and too low in development. America is not going back to solid Blue. But America can go hyper toxic Orange. Which is where we are headed now. The real danger is not a Christian theocracy but a hyper-capitalist oligarchic technocratic dystopia.
