  1. I'll give it some thought.
  2. 1 minutes is very short. But maybe something like 10 mins might work. Blog is sorta filling this function at the moment, but I do want to make some short videos too.
  3. Be very careful with the word "consciousness". Almost every spiritual teacher uses it to mean something different. You don't really know what consciousness is.
  4. @username Become highly enlightened, then do some heavy psychedelics, and let us know your findings. Extra credit: Take a rattlesnake bite to the ass as well, just to be sure
  5. @arjuna If you enjoy being in state of delusion, insanity, and falsehood, by all means, go ahead. You are free to act like a dog.
  6. The false identification you have of being a human being, or a physical being, or a separate entity, or a formed object of any kind, is to be overcome, yes. In the same way that if you believed and behaved like your were a dog, or Napoleon, we would say, that's a misguided notion (bordering on insanity) which must be overcome.
  7. @AlwaysBeNice In the same way that if you died, and then came back to life, you would be haunted by that experience.
  8. @username You are confusing enlightenment with experiences and behavioral changes. It's like asking, "If I know that 1+1=2, will that make me immune to a rattlesnake bite?"
  9. @DrMobius No, I haven't tried smoking it. Snorting works great for me. I know Martin prefers smoking. That may be because he's using freebase vs HCl. Don't worry, your ego won't be able to resist 30mg snorted either. It's stronger than you can ever imagine. It will haunt your dreams for years to come and leave you trembling in anxiety just thinking of snorting 30mg again.
  10. @barry Just keep in mind there is no real growth without learning to abandon your deepest gross desires. Whether you choose to do so now, or in 20 years, you're gonna have to do it at some point. Without that, you cannot escape suffering.
  11. Anyone ever peruse the Buddha's Eight-Fold Path? What is one of the eight folds? Right means of making a living This whole debate about spirituality vs life purpose is nonsense. Just because life doesn't have a fixed Absolute purpose doesn't mean that you as a mortal human cannot consciously undertake a goal or purpose of your own, with detachment, for shits and giggles. What else are you gonna do?
  12. Your notions of enlightenment are WAY too idealized. That's not how it works in the real world. You do not become the Terminator, asking for more and more pain. You can disidentify with ego all you want, but the pain and discomfort may still be there. You may be in horrible pain. But deep down you'll just know it's not what you are. That doesn't make the pain disappear. And when the body is having a violent reaction, that's not up to you. That's the body doing its thing. Just because you're enlightened doesn't mean that when you get food poisoning, you go back for a second poisoned meal. That would be plain stupid. There are also many degrees of enlightenment. He was not some kind of hardcore Zen Master who sleeps on a bed of nails. I would expect a powerful chemical like 5-MeO to freak out the most hardcore of people. It's like a shotgun blast in the face.
  13. @Outer Psychedelic trips can be long, lasting 6 to 12 hours. You will definitely get hungry during that time. Yes, there is some appetite suppression when you're on the peak, but the peak doesn't last long. I always eat a bit during my longer trips. The banana is eaten BEFORE the trip. This is just silly. Are you saying fat people never get hungry? Try not feeding a fat person for half a day and see how they feel. I have less hunger issues being skinny than when I used to be fat. Fat people are often terrified of hunger. As though it will kill them.
  14. No drunk posting please. Do not post on this forum while tripping. Any such threads will be deleted in the future. It's a terrible idea to be posting anything publicly while under the influence.
  15. Daniel Ingram is an ER doctor. So yeah. You don't have to become a teacher.
  16. Good stuff
  17. @Mrkvn8 Not necessary. You don't want to be distracted by hunger.
  18. @Lorcan Lack of college degree isn't gonna hold you back much from making money if you want to make money. Finding and nailing your life purpose is the best way. Chasing money, chasing investment schemes, chasing marketing schemes is not good. In the end, even if you win at that game, it will be a hollow victory. The money will really do nothing for you. You will be more miserable than ever. And 99% of people lose at that game. You want to offer real value to the world, not marketing gimmicks or exploiting financial markets. Be ware of being caught up in the hype of external success. Those marketers are just pushing your chimp buttons. Follow your life purpose instead. The problem with your question is that it's a fundamentally misguided approach to life and money.
  19. Always take psychedelics on a empty stomach. If you're hungry, eat half a banana 1-2 hours prior to the trip. After 2 hours into the trip, you can eat more. Avoid junk food. Don't overeat. Have vomit bucket ready at all times.
  20. @Max_V Notice that you don't actually know what you are. Like seriously... you have no idea yet. You are unable to articulate what you are without speaking nonsense and contradicting yourself. Hence self-inquiry.
  21. @d0ornokey The do nothing technique is not good for building concentration and this problem with over-creativity.
  22. @Hardik jain There are tons of sensations present, you're just not sufficiently mindfulness yet. Start practicing mindfulness with labeling, as I describe in my Mindfulness Meditation video. You can practice with sounds or body sensations aside from breath. You can also focus on the belly and lungs rather than the tip of the nose. The tip of the nose is more subtle.
  23. You just need to buckle down and stick to one technique rigorously for a while. You can choose any one of the following: Following the breath very mindfully, noticing it go in and out of your nose Mindfulness using labeling, and select a specific domain to label like body sensations or external sounds Concentration practice using metronome sound Mantra meditation: select a single mantra like: bah-ring, bah-ring, bah-ring... and do it very rigorously Do one of those rigorously every day for a month, and then see how you're doing. This requires 100s of hours of practice to start to re-shape your mind patterns. Getting started is the hardest part. Doing a retreat where you do nothing but this for an entire week is the best way.
  24. Up until now this forum allowed you to change your username. Sounds nice on paper, but in practice I'm finding it creates confusion when people change their usernames on a whim. So this feature is being disabled soon. Finalize your username now, or forever hold your peace.
