@Shane Hanlon Systems will of course change, but they will not change from the theorizing and hand-wringing from Tier 2, Game B hippie intellectuals obessing over the end of mankind and telling us to consume less. I respect Schamatchenberger's intelligence very much, but if you zoom out and get real, his project is not going to change the course of society. It strikes me as out of touch with our political and development social reality. While he is obsessing over ecological collapse and game theory, fascist clowns are piloting the plane into a mountain. This Game B stuff sounds very wise and cool, but it is not how politics nor business works.

This is a great idea. I've done a 12 day water fast. It's challenging but doable.

It's a very ethically grey area. Hard to make sense of it. My biggest problem with it is the shamelessly greedy and morally bankrupt people who run these companies and the insane monopolization they all seek, all under the fig leaf of bettering mankind.

Human minds do it too, but the difference is the insane scale and monopolization and rapacious greed of these AI companies. Their whole existence is based on data theft and recombination for profit. It's theft on a giga-factory scale.

It's more than that though. People like really weird stuff like trashy heavy metal, awful rap, punk, dubstep, etc.

The shittiness of it transcends any kind of easy gratification. More like mental illness. It's like people who get botox lips and think it's beautiful.

Very cool. I once had a guy who worked for me who had perfect pitch. He was a natural musician. I was actually thinking of getting into making music, although I have zero experience. - - - - - The diversity of taste is indeed a mystery.

There is a medical disorder where people feel a burning need to pee but their bladder is already empty. So even peeing is not immune from self-deception. Nevermind all the New Age swill humans believe.
