  1. No, that's not what I said. From what I remember microwavable bacon especially comes in some kind of weird plastic wrap. I could be wrong. I have not eaten it in 20 years. Someone please mail Curt a package of microwavable bacon
  2. @Endangered-EGO Of course Bin Laden cannot win in the end because his actions were coming from low consciousness. But he certainly leveraged his limited power exceedingly well. My point is that Americans should have been too wise to allow that to happen. Sure, you could blame Bin Laden for the Iraq war. But think of how much stronger America could have been if we invested that $20 trillion spent on wars into education, social welfare, infrastructure, green energy, and scientific research.
  3. But that's true of all currencies. The amazing thing is that currencies work at all. They really shouldn't. It sounds too insane to work. And yet it does.
  4. The only thing that can destroy America is America. Bin Laden was wise to understand this. His aim was to trick America into debasing itself. And in that sense he won. This 9/11 fetishizing and pearl clutching plays exactly into Bin Laden's evil genius strategy.
  5. God is the one imagining things. So you cannot escape God here with your logic. In the end someone is always imagining something. That is God.
  6. Sometimes I buy pricy things, but they are all practical. Like I bought $3000 of window blinds for my house. Stuff like that. I sort of despise luxury. Mingling with prestigious people is my defintion of hell. I am very anti-elitist.
  7. I know you want that but it is not good for you to get what you want here. This work is not about me, it is about the ideas. If I could erase myself from the work I would. So it would only be pure ideas not even coming from a human. That would be ideal. I don't find much meaning in material pursuits.
  8. What do you think you're gonna see? Me swimming in piles of money and dancing with God? The effects of this work are largely invisible. You're not going to see anything special. I sit and shit on the toilet just like you. There is nothing much special about my life. I don't live some glorious lifestyle. My life is very simple. If you saw my life you would be bored out of your mind.
  9. Yeah, but that's true of "real currency" too. It's mostly just digits in some bank account and not used for anything. That does not make it a scam. Its purpose is to store value. What is the world's gold being used for? It's just sitting in a bank vault somewhere. That's not a bug, that's a feature.
  10. If you really care to know, take psychedelic and you'll understand within 30 minutes what you may not understand in 10 years of thinking. Words cannot show you consciousness.
  11. Einstein was offered to be the first Prime Minister of Israel. He declined.
  12. He is hard to pin down. I think his cognition itself might be Yellow. But in practice his public policies were more Orange/Green. I think he's a very nuanced and systemic thinker. But he may not be that great at playing politics and twisting nipples to get things passed. These are different skill sets. The smartest and wisest people are not necessarily good politicians. I would be a horrible politician.
  13. Were you taking psychedelics around that time? Because tinnitus is a common side-effect of psychedelics.
  14. If you see obviously toxic or sexist stuff being spouted in a thread on this sub-forum, point it out and Mods and I will work to lock it down or clean it up. I will be more sensitive and politically correct as well. But it has to actually be toxic, not merely a difference of opinion. Men and women will always have a difference of perspective here because of competing agendas. Mostly what I want to see stop is the blaming of the opposite sex for one's own frustrations and inadequacies. If you're blaming the opposite sex that's your clue that you're fooling yourself.
  15. The fundamental problem is that these Bitcoiners are mostly all libertarians who do not understand the importance and need for regulation. They believe that regulation is some kind of evil, but in fact you want strict regulation of your financial markets otherwise you get crazy instability and devilry. Any kind of libertarian system will breed serious devilry that will have to be dealt with somehow. But libertarians will just stick their head in the sand about this.
  16. In practice they couldn't because if they took away all the equipment that would be like admitting total defeat without even putting up a fight. The optics of it would have been really bad and they would have been blamed for abandoning the Afghan government. It was just a shitty situation to be in either way. There was no good political solution.
  17. @Flyboy You don't understand what you're talking about and I am done tryng to persuade you.
  18. Pickup certainly involves plenty of theory. That theory is important. But that theory also comes with a toxic culture. The two are intermingled in a tricky way that is not easy to dis aggregate.
  19. @RMQualtrough Ask yourself how you actually learned of the existence of UV. What you'll discover is that you either saw it or heard it. So that's literally what UV is: pictures and sounds.
  20. Curt is about as good an interviewer as I will ever get. There is no point in me talking to enlightened people. We would agree too much. There would be no value. And I have zero interest in nondual hairsplitting.
  21. Because if you didn't, you'd probably still be sleep together.
  22. UV and everything else exists as perceptions. Just not the perceptions you imagine. UV and atoms are perceptions within your visual field. UV and atoms are a 2nd order visual perception. Then your mind imagines the rest.
  23. I think they were just overrun by the Taliban. Those helicopters are expensive as hell. It should be cheaper to transport them back home than build new ones. But you also have to consider how the business of this works. Defense contractors are happy if the military abandons those vehicles because it just means more orders next year. The incentives are perverse. They like it when expensive equipment is lost.
  24. As sure as you can know such things. You can look up the mercury amounts in typical old-school vaccines on government websites. It's about as much mercury as contained in 1 pound of salmon. Covid vaccines do not contain heavy metals at all.
