  1. Lol You don't get it. YOU are all there is. There is no discontinuity in Spira's consciousness because YOU are conscious! For fuck's sake. Your conscious is Absolute and there is no other. You guys are arguing pure delusion. All your arguments are wrong. They are not even within the same plane as Truth.
  2. @Raphael Life is never gonna get too boring. There are entire galaxies to explore and hot tri-titted aliens to bang
  3. @charlie cho Please contain the cringe. Just improve with girls. Don't become a douche.
  4. That is not Biden's fault. That is the just where America is at. He will deal with it as best he can. Obama faced the same obstruction. Republicans don't have any good ideas so all they do is obstruct progress. It's not possible unify a country when 30% of it are deplorable devils with zero shame, integrity, or wisdom, and while right-wing media is frothing them up into a raging frenzy for profit.
  5. There's no such thing as birth or death or unconsciousness. You're imagining all of them NOW.
  6. I could retire now and play video games for the rest of my life. It was never about the money.
  7. @Mason Riggle You are as deranged as MAGAs who think Trump was playing 4D chess the whole time.
  8. The day the pandemic ends, you thirsty guys be like:
  9. @Mason Riggle Look, dude, you're way over complicating this. Sam Harris is simply stuck in materialism, rationalism, atheism, realism, dualism, and scientism. Don't get all weird about it.
  10. This is false. You might as well say, for something to matter it must operate from the Christian paradigm. You're giving Sam too much credit.
  11. No, I think it's just a matter of social evolution. The culture has shifted up since 2008. The Overton window has shifted. People get more liberal as society evolves -- even despite MAGA. Conservatives are usually fighting a losing battle. Every liberal president who is elected pushes the envelop forward a bit. Which is why progressives need to calm the fuck down and be patient. It's not going to happen overnight. 8 years of Biden/Kamala will move us considerably forward even if they are neoliberals.
  12. You don't get it. It isn't even true that falling off a cliff is bad. That is your bias. See, by not contemplating such things you have already fallen into falsehood.
  13. It is true that there are tradeoffs between a zoom in vs a zoomed out view. And yes, a scientist would have more technical details. But the scientist would still be wrong and limited in many ways. He wouldn't just be missing spiritual stuff, his science would be hindered too! In the case of Sam Harris he is simply wrong. He's got nothing over Spira. Spira's mind is superior, and if Spira decided to put it to use in some technical field he would do well and be more innovative thanks to his superior mental flexibility. Sam's mind is paradigm locked.
  14. @Hello from Russia That is far more practical than enlightenment for most people.
  15. Nothing in self-evident! And I mean that in two ways
  16. Biden knocking it out of the park so far. Let's see how long it holds. I think many progressive naysayers will be shown wrong by Biden. He will be better than Obama I think. But of course they will still whine that he's not doing enough. Progressive have been way too harsh on Biden.
  17. @zeroISinfinity Need I bring up Ramaji and Ananda as MAGAs? It baffles the mind, but it is the case that even enlightened people can be fools. Enlightenment does not guarantee that you will use your mind properly. In fact, if your path toward enlightenment places a strong emphases on shutting off the mind, then it's very likely you will use your mind improperly post-enlightenment because you didn't bother to clean it up and develop it. Development of the mind is important -- despite what the Buddhists would have you believe. Merely shutting off the mind is not going to solve mankind's problems and it is not scalable to society at large. You must learn to shut off your mind, AND you must learn to use your mind well when it's called for. And you must learn when to do which. This is the way.
  18. Hate to rain on your parade bro, but the awkwardness is all you Strong polarity does not require awkwardness. Yes, us INTPs tend to be socially awkward. Requires a lot of work to compensate for it.
  19. It is a shame the RSD forum was shut down. That place had some golden gems amidst a sea of toxic things too. One of the coolest things about it was that you could use it to find wings in any city in the world. You could just be like, "Hey, I'm going to Vegas for the weekend. Who will wing me?" and you'd find at least a few guys. I found some good wings that way.
  20. Yes, it's still good to think things through. It's a way of organizing and spotting problems in your worldview. Awakening alone will not get rid of the worldview problem. You will still have a mind with a worldview and that worldview could be really bad. Like you could be some kind of MAGA supporter. Awakening is one thing. Cleaning up the mind is a separate thing and it is important. There's a bunch of shit in your mind and it lacks coherence. It's also hard to awaken unless you're deeply questioning all aspects of reality.
