Hey, what’s up? This is Leo for Actualized.org and in this quick self-help segment of about 10 minutes, I’m going to talk about how to get more energy.

Energy can be a pretty deep topic, so I’m going to cover it more in-depth in other videos on Actualized.org. Here I’m going to take a focused approach on one aspect of energy that I think is commonly missed. This is more of a psychological aspect than a physical aspect.

There are ways to get more energy. For example, you can do more workouts to get yourself fit and into shape, control your diet, experiment with various supplementation, perhaps medication, or getting certain blocks out of the way.

If you have sleep apnea, that can cause low energy. If you have insomnia, that can cause low energy. If you are always anxious, that might be robbing you of energy.

If you have hypothyroidism – if your thyroid hormone levels are low – make sure you get that checked. That’s a very common medical symptom. It’s a problem that occurs when your thyroid hormone is too low. It reduces your metabolism and reduces your energy.

Those are all more physical signs. What I’m going not talk about is more of thean inner 01:15*game that goes underestimated. That is the importance of purpose to your life. This creates a lot of energy. You’ll be surprised.

I acutely actually have energy problems. Being a public speaker, being out here and trying to be charismatic and doing a lot of the stuff that I do with socialization, and shooting these videos takes a lot of energy for me. I work a lot and I also go and socialize a lot.

This takes a lot of my time and a lot of my energy. I tend to be an introvert, so my battery gets drained really fast when I’m doing social types of things and talking to people and being charismatic.

To deal with that, I’ve been looking at a lot of issues related to energy. I’ve actually spent a lot of time perfecting my supplementation. I take over 50 different supplements every day.
I got my thyroid checked. I actually have hypothyroidism, so I take medication to replace the deficient thyroid hormone.

I’ve checked my sleep. I’ve been trying to hack all of this stuff.

What I’ve actually noticed is that one the things that made the most profound changes for me in energy is getting myself back on purpose with what I am really passionate about.
This happened for me just a few months ago. It was recently. I really got connected. I got my siteght up. I started shooting a lot of videos and doing a lot of articles.

I felt like this is something that’s important to me and it’s something that I love to do. I finally feel like I’m on to something that I’ve been after for a couple of years. I’ve been trying to get to this point and now I finally got it.

I feel like this is something that is providing value to people. It gets me fired up. It gets me out of bed in the morning. It gets me energized. I’m doing something that I actually love and I feel like most people are not doing that in their lives. They’re not doing it nearly enough.

If you don’t have that in place, it’s going to be hard for you to be energetic. If you have nothing important to fight for in your life and to expend energy on, your body is not going to manufacture that energy.

The fact is, your body kind of does the bare minimum that it needs to get through the day. If you don’t challenge it at all, it will have the energy to get through a non-challenging day. If you challenge it a lot, it will eventually build up the reserves to get to that point where it can handle that stress.

Certainly, there are medical conditions. You need to take care of those. However, I’ve found that life purpose can even slice through medical conditions.

Sometimes, I’m feeling bad. I might have a cold or whatever. I might be feeling tired or sleepy, but because I feel like this is something that’s important, I’ll go out there and shoot an extra video or write an extra article. I’ll do something that I wouldn’t otherwise do because I feel like it’s important to me and I’m connected with that.

That’s one of the reasons that I preach having a life purpose so much. I think it gives you superhuman strength. It gives you energy and motivation. That is something that you want to make sure that you have besides all the physical components of energy.

I’ll give you an example. Right now, I’m shooting this video and this is the seventh video in a string of videos that I just shot. It’s been seven videos in a row. This takes a lot out of my creative juices and my energy that go into these videos.

I’m shooting seven videos in a row and it’s 6 o’clock in the morning. I haven’t gone to bed. I’ve been working through the night. I didn’t go to sleep at all. Today, I woke up around noon and now it’s 6 in the morning. I’ve been working through the whole night and shooting these videos and I’m having a blast.

I’m addicted to it. I love it. Even though I’m feeling a little bit groggy right now and I’m starting to lose my energy and feel tired, because I see these videos and I think, “Yes, this is cool. I like what I’m sharing here. I think this will help people. This is promoting my life purpose. This is contributing to my ultimate long-term vision,” I have the drive and the energy to shoot an extra one and an extra one.

I just kept going on this roll. I’m on my seventh one. Maybe I’ll even shoot and eighth one. I don’t know. It’s getting late. I think I need to go to bed because I have some stuff to do in the morning.

That just gives you an example. I want that for you. Do you have that in place? Do you have a firm life purpose?

If you don’t, then you’re definitely missing out on that pillar of potential energy gain. So, even if you get all of the physical stuff handled, you’re going to want to tap into this one. This is where most of your energy is coming from.

Why do you think that all of the people who are super passionate and super charismatic and energetic do that? They have a purpose. There’s something there that they want. They want to contribute. They want to be excellent. Whatever it is, they’re very clear on what it is that they want out of their lives. That supercharges them.

Of course, they still look out for all of the other factors there. They have to take care of their health and their fitness and get their blood checked and get their medical exams and do all of that stuff.

Get that handled, but then get the inner psychology right. Get the psychology of energy. Energy has a lot to do with your thought process. How you think, what you believe, and what you want out of life will determine your energy level.

I’m keeping it short and sweet on this one. That’s all that I have to say here about energy. I’ll cover some of the physical components of energy in other videos, including supplementation, exercise, and nutrition. I’m really passionate about all of those, especially because energy is something that I’m working on myself.

Go and look for those on Actualized.org and check them out. You might find some more value there.

Mitochondrion – an organelle in the cytoplasm of cells that functions in energy production. Healthy body is made of healthy cells. Continuous detox through eating raw organic food from the earth, fresh smoothies/ juicing, clean water (I drink ionized alkaline water only), quality supplementation (chlorella, curcumin, etc.), keeping digestive health (probiotics, digestive enzymes), functioning thyroid (L-Tyrosine), regular exercise, dry saunas (skin is the largest elimination organ of the body), 8 hrs of sleep, regular massages, rebounding (just started doing every morning for 10 mins – excellent for moving lymph fluid as well as boosting energy), stress management – all these things help keep my mitochondria in top-notch shape. I never run out of energy and never will. These are simple practical ways that would work for anyone.

I find a lot of fulfillment and purpose by pouring my life into and serving others, whether at my job, home or community. Nothing grand, just small acts of kindness, empathy, unconditional acceptance, encouragement, patience, etc. – God, others and the use of my time. I need energy to be able to do all these things and for as long as I live. Thank you for this video, looking forward to more teaching on the subject.

Hi Leo, thanks for these videos and they are very helpful to me. I’ve been suffering depression for 10 years and have to take sleeping pills every night. Could you please shoot a video of teaching people to have a deep and quality sleep? Thanks

Harrison says:

Thanks for your valuable information. I’m surprised you don’t talk more about sleep more often. Poor sleep and lack of sleep can ruin everything you talk about. Maybe add a video of sleep.
